[RESOLVED] BUG-2024-014-FUNC: Modifying Common Manual Applicability Notes
Last Updated on August 15, 2024 | 1 min read
Summary
Status: Resolved
Present in: 3.1.0 (Back-End)
Patched in: 3.1.1
When a manual in a Central Data Repository is removed and re-added as a common manual, modifying the applicability notes sometimes results in duplicate database entries. This causes an error during publishing, leading to an aborted process.
Steps to Reproduce
After performing the task above:
- Open NIVOMAX Builder application.
- Click the “Publish & Go Live” icon > “Publish Virtual Library” option.
- Select Library details.
- Select “Publish to WEB” and/or “Create ZIP”.
- Click PUBLISH.
Expected Behavior
The Library should publish successfully, making it available on the NIVOMAX Web Viewer and generating the necessary ZIP archives for NIVOMAX Desktop and Network Edition apps.
Actual Behavior
Process aborts with error message:
Error: Query did not return a unique result: 2 results were returned.
Environment
Version: NIVOMAX Builder v3.1.1
OS: Windows Server, Linux
Browser: Chrome, Edge, Safari and FireFox
Severity
Medium (Moderate)
Additional Notes
This issue occurs intermittently and affects an infrequent workflow. Publishers rarely perform the prerequisite steps that cause this error, and a workaround exists. However, since resolving the issue requires intervention by a Linux admin, the severity is classified as Medium (Moderate).
