NIVOMAX Viewer Un-Installation Guide – for versions 3.5.x or greater

Disclaimer

SYNAXIOM does not distribute NIVOMAX Viewer setup files directly to end users. To obtain the necessary setup files, users must download a copy directly from the Technical Publications Supplier's NIVOMAX Self Serve portal, subsequent to agreeing to the terms and conditions stipulated therein. The Technical Publication Supplier, possessing a valid Distribution ID for their copy of the NIVOMAX Applications, is the sole distributor. Access to and use of the NIVOMAX Viewer is contingent upon the purchase of a Data License for a digital product from the Technical Publications Supplier. The digital product downloaded will function exclusively with the viewer provided by the respective Supplier. Users are advised that the distribution of NIVOMAX Viewer setup files may be governed by applicable export control regulations depending on their region.

Licensing

It is not necessary for end-users to purchase a separate NIVOMAX license. The Technical Publications Supplier from whom you have acquired your Data License has already procured the requisite licenses from SYNAXIOM. By extending an invitation, they include you within their authorized user pool, as permitted under their NIVOMAX license agreement. You are authorized to use the NIVOMAX software provided the Technical Publications Supplier maintains a valid NIVOMAX software license.

Uninstallation Steps

1. Launch the Uninstaller

  • Open Control Panel > Programs and Features.
  • Locate NIVOMAX Viewer app  in the list.
  • Click Uninstall and follow the prompts.

2. Preserve Library and Configuration Data

You will be prompted to select preservation options before continuing with the uninstallation process.

Options

Preserve Library Data (Default: Checked)

  • If checked, library files will remain on disk even after uninstalling NIVOMAX Viewer.
  • To remove them later, manually delete the library folder or reinstall NIVOMAX Viewer and uninstall again with this option unchecked.

Preserve NIVOMAX Configurations for Future Use (Default: Checked)

  • If checked, NIVOMAX settings and configurations will be retained.
  • To remove them later, manually delete the configuration files or reinstall and uninstall with this option unchecked.

Click Next to continue.

3. Choose Uninstall Folder (Automated Step)

  • This step is handled automatically. No user interaction is required.
  • Click Next to proceed.

4. Uninstalling… (Automated Step)

  • The system will now remove the application files.
  • This process may take a few minutes.
  • The user will be automatically redirected to the next step upon completion.

5. Uninstall Complete

  • You will receive a confirmation message that the uninstallation has been completed successfully.
  • Click Finish to close the uninstallation wizard.

Manual Cleanup (If Required)

Warning

If you have multiple NIVOMAX applications installed on the same device, such as the NIVOMAX Desktop Edition and NIVOMAX Network Edition – Client Viewer, avoid performing a manual cleanup. Manually deleting files may impact other installed applications. Instead, reinstall the related application and use the uninstaller, ensuring all preserve options are deselected to fully remove it.

 

If you chose to preserve Library Data or Configuration settings but now wish to remove them, follow these steps:

Removing Library Data

  1. Navigate to the default Data Store location: C:\Users\{USERNAME}\Documents\nivomax-repo
  2. If a custom location was selected during installation, navigate to that directory instead.
  3. Delete the folder manually.

Removing Configuration Files

  1. Locate the NIVOMAX Viewer configuration directory within, C:\Users\{USERNAME}\AppData\Local\ and delete all NIVOMAX folders, which will delete all related configuration files.
  2. Navigate to C:\Program Files\, locate the NIVOMAX [Edition based on what the user had installed] folder, and delete it manually.

Troubleshooting

  • Uninstallation failed? Ensure you have administrative rights.
  • Files still present after uninstalling? Reinstall NIVOMAX Viewer and run the uninstaller again with all preservation options unchecked.
