Beta Immersion Program

Introduction to Beta Immersion
The Beta Immersion Program is designed to give our users an immersive, hands-on experience with our newest NIVOMAX features before the official rollout. This program replaces traditional User Acceptance Testing (UAT), which is used used to validate Custom Extension Module Development and Licensed App/Module Customization efforts completed as part of a Statement of Work (SoW). Beta Immersion focuses on familiarizing customers with the software in real-world scenarios and providing feedback that helps improve the experience—not on formal pass/fail validation.
What is Beta Immersion?
Beta Immersion is not a traditional UAT, where specific features are evaluated against predefined requirements with pass/fail criteria. Instead, it allows our users to engage with the product and explore its functionalities, providing feedback on their experience. The focus is on:
- Familiarization: Understanding the workflows, tools, and overall functionality of NIVOMAX in your daily operations.
- Feedback-Oriented Interaction: Sharing insights if something doesn’t work as documented or if there’s a bug, but without the pressure of a formal evaluation.
- Real-World Exploration: Using the software in your operational environment to get comfortable with new features before the official release.
How Beta Immersion Differs from UAT
While traditional User Acceptance Testing (UAT) focused on verifying features against acceptance criteria and business requirements, Beta Immersion is centered on:
-
- Exploratory Learning: Users can freely explore the product in their own workflow contexts.
- No Pass/Fail Criteria: Instead of a rigid acceptance testing process, Beta Immersion allows for open-ended exploration.
- Emphasis on Feedback: The program encourages feedback, especially in identifying any bugs or issues, but there is no formal validation requirement. A bug is defined as any feature that does not function as outlined in the official documentation provided by SYNAXIOM for that specific feature.
How Beta Immersion Works
- Invitation to Participate: Selected customers or users will receive an invitation to join the Beta Immersion Program. To qualify, your organization must have a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) in place with SYNAXIOM.
- Setup and Installation: Users follow our provided guides to install and configure the latest NIVOMAX versions on their devices.
- Explore the Features: Participants are encouraged to explore new features and updates, incorporating them into their workflows as they see fit.
- Provide Feedback: If any issues are encountered, or if something doesn’t work as documented, users can share feedback through the designated channels.
What is Expected from Participants?
The Beta Immersion experience is designed to be exploratory. Here’s what we ask from participants:
- Engage with the Product: Use NIVOMAX as you would in your daily work to become familiar with new features.
- Share Feedback: Report any issues or bugs you encounter, especially if something doesn’t work as described.
- Focus on Usability: While formal validation is not required, feedback on usability and user experience is highly encouraged.
How to Provide Feedback
During Beta Immersion, providing feedback is an important way to help improve NIVOMAX. Here’s how:
- Identify Issues: If something doesn’t work as expected or documented, provide feedback on it.
- Be Specific: Clearly describe the issue, including steps to reproduce it.
- Use Screenshots or Videos: Whenever possible, include visual aids to help explain your feedback.
- Submit Feedback: You can submit feedback through the NIVOMAX Help Center:
-
- Use the General Feedback Form and select ‘Beta Immersion’ under Feedback Type.
- For detailed reporting, use the Report an Issue or Bug form and select ‘Beta Immersion’ under App Type.
-
What Beta Immersion is NOT
-
- Not a Formal UAT: There are no predefined acceptance criteria or validation processes.
- No Pass/Fail Judgements: The purpose is not to approve or reject features, but to engage with the software and provide feedback.
Why Participate in Beta Immersion?
Participating in Beta Immersion gives you the opportunity to:
- Experience New Features First: Be among the first to explore the latest updates to NIVOMAX.
- Influence Future Development: Your feedback will help us improve the product and address any issues before the official release.
- Prepare for Go-Live: Gain familiarity with new workflows and features to ensure a seamless transition when the updates are rolled out to all users.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is Beta Immersion the same as UAT?
A: No. Unlike UAT, which focuses on validating features with pass/fail criteria, Beta Immersion is about exploring new features, familiarizing yourself with the product, and providing feedback where necessary.
Q: What kind of feedback should I provide?
A: Feedback is focused on usability and identifying any issues or bugs. If something doesn’t work as documented or as expected, let us know. We’re not asking for formal validation—just your observations.
Q: Do I need to formally approve any features during Beta Immersion?
A: No. There is no formal approval process in Beta Immersion. It’s about exploring and giving feedback, not signing off on features.
Q: How do I submit feedback?
A: You can submit feedback via the in-app feedback option when available (e.g. TestFlight or other tools) or through the NIVOMAX Help Center using the General Feedback Form or the Report an Issue or Bug form.
