Audience: System administrators and IT staff who install, deploy, or support the NIVOMAX Viewer on Windows systems.
Purpose
This page defines the system requirements and operational constraints for the NIVOMAX Viewer for Windows, including:
- Desktop Edition
- Network Edition (Client Viewer and Data Server)
Authentication and User Profile Rules
Authentication uses Single Sign-On (SSO) credentials.
Multiple user profiles are supported on the same installation.
Each SSO login creates a separate user profile.
Profile and Library Visibility Behavior
Libraries are activated per user profile.
When a user signs in:
- Libraries activated by other user profiles appear crossed out.
- Only libraries activated for the signed-in user are accessible.
This behavior applies to:
NIVOMAX Viewer– Desktop EditionNIVOMAX Viewer– Network Edition (Data Server)
Network Client Viewer Behavior
Network Client Viewers can access all libraries activated on the Network Data Server.
Library visibility is controlled by the Data Server, not by the local client profile.
Important Notes
- Crossed-out libraries do not indicate corruption.
- Crossed-out libraries indicate that the libraries:
- The library belongs to a different user profile. The user does not have a valid license for the library.
- The library is not activated for the user (verify activation in the Self-Serve Portal).
