Purpose

This page defines the system requirements for the NIVOMAX Viewer on Apple platforms.

Up to version 2.2.2, the following platform is supported::

• iPadOS (iPad)

From version 2.2.3+ and later, the following platforms are supported::

• iPadOS (iPad)
• iOS (iPhone)
• macOS

Availability and feature parity may vary by platform.

Supported Apple Platforms

iPadOS

• iPad running iPadOS 17.x or later
• Application distributed through the Apple App Store

iOS

• iPad running iPadOS 17.x or later
• Application distributed through the Apple App Store

macOS

• macOS on Apple hardware
• Application distributed through the Apple App Store

Hardware and Software Requirements (iPadOS)

Device

• iPad running iPadOS 17.x or later
• The application runs and functions on all supported iPad models

Display and usability note

• Smaller iPads are supported and fully functional
• Reduced screen size limits available workspace
• For the best user experience, a 13-inch class iPad is recommended

Larger displays provide:

• Improved workspace visibility
• Easier navigation of complex content
• Better usability when working with large data libraries

Apple ID

• A valid Apple ID is required
• Required to download and update the application from the App Store

Authentication and Access

• Authentication uses Single Sign-On (SSO)
• SSO accounts are provided by the OEM or Content Supplier
• Subscriptions and library access are managed by the Supplier

Network and Connectivity

• A stable and high-speed Wi-Fi connection is required
• Required to download application updates and data libraries

Network security controls must allow access to required supplier URLs.

Storage Requirements

• Adequate free storage space is required
• At least two times the library size must be available during download and extraction
• At least 5 GB of free space must remain after import for stable operation

Downloads will not start if storage requirements are not met.

Battery Requirements

• Minimum battery level: 25%
• Required before downloading large data libraries
• Prevents interruptions during download and extraction

Operational Notes

• Data library downloads may be large
• Interruptions can result in partial downloads
• Use a stable Wi-Fi connection and sufficient battery charge when downloading libraries

Platform Notes (iOS and macOS)

• Do not assume feature or library parity between platforms until officially documented

Use of NIVOMAX applications requires a valid Data License obtained from the Technical Publications Supplier. End users are authorized to use the NIVOMAX software only while the Supplier maintains a valid NIVOMAX license agreement.
