Workspace Interface

The NIVOMAX Viewer Workspace is the central interface for interacting with documents and data. Understanding its layout and features will improve your efficiency in navigating and utilizing the NIVOMAX Viewer applications.
This guide details the six main regions of the NIVOMAX Viewer Workspace interface:

Workspace Regions Overview
Region | Description |
---|---|
Header | The Header displays the distribution logo, library name, and manual or publication name on the left, and the Main Toolbar on the right. The toolbar contains icons that provide quick access to common features relevant to the current interface. |
Table of Contents | The Table of Contents, a collapsible left-hand panel, displays the table of contents for the manual or publication. It can be resized for user convenience by dragging its right edge. |
Viewing Area | The Viewing Area is the central focus of the workspace where documents are displayed. It supports both single and dual (split) mode viewing configurations to accommodate viewing one or multiple documents simultaneously. |
Bottom Feature Panel | A collapsible area at the bottom of the workspace that provides additional space for displaying relevant data or controls related to the active document. |
Right Feature Panel | This collapsible panel on the right extends the workspace to display additional metadata or information about the document or selected unit of work. |
Status Bar | The Status Bar at the bottom of the interface displays notifications and copyright information, keeping users informed about the application’s status. |
Viewing Area Guide


- Single Viewing Pane: The default setting for viewing content. Useful for focused reading or analysis of a single document.
- Dual (Split) Mode: Enables side-by-side viewing of documents, useful for comparing texts or referencing multiple sources. This mode is toggled via the Main Toolbar.

- Tab Bar: Displays all open document tabs. Users can switch between documents or manage their tabs here.
- Tab Options: Options for closing current tabs or opening new ones, helping organize and manage workspace efficiently.
Interactive Workspace Features
- Resizable Panels: Users can adjust the size of the viewing panes and feature panels to fit their viewing preferences or task needs.
- Feature Panel Activation: Activating various feature panels via the toolbar icons adjusts the workspace dynamically, with icons highlighted to show active states.
Tab Toolbar Functionality
The Tab Toolbar, located at the top of each document tab, adapts to the type of document loaded, offering tools and actions relevant to the document or task at hand.
