Disclaimer

SYNAXIOM does not distribute NIVOMAX Viewer setup files directly to end users. To obtain the necessary setup files, users must download a copy directly from the Technical Publications Supplier's NIVOMAX Self Serve portal, subsequent to agreeing to the terms and conditions stipulated therein. The Technical Publication Supplier, possessing a valid Distribution ID for their copy of the NIVOMAX Applications, is the sole distributor. Access to and use of the NIVOMAX Viewer is contingent upon the purchase of a Data License for a digital product from the Technical Publications Supplier. The digital product downloaded will function exclusively with the viewer provided by the respective Supplier. Users are advised that the distribution of NIVOMAX Viewer setup files may be governed by applicable export control regulations depending on their region.

Licensing

It is not necessary for end-users to purchase a separate NIVOMAX license. The Technical Publications Supplier from whom you have acquired your Data License has already procured the requisite licenses from SYNAXIOM. By extending an invitation, they include you within their authorized user pool, as permitted under their NIVOMAX license agreement. You are authorized to use the NIVOMAX software provided the Technical Publications Supplier maintains a valid NIVOMAX software license.

Supporting Documents

Last Updated on January 23, 2025 | 2 min read

Note: The functionality of Supporting Documents is similar to that of Temporary Revisions. Please refer to the Temporary Revisions resource page for operational details. This page focuses on the differences in presentation between Temporary Revisions and Supporting Documents.

Supporting Documents are supplementary materials not intended to be permanent parts of manuals. They are provided with manual revisions or updates as optional resources to enhance clarity on topics discussed in official documents. Unlike mandatory Temporary Revisions, Supporting Documents are discretionary aids that enhance understanding without altering the core content of the manual.

  • Permitted File Types: .pdf, .txt, .doc, .docx, .ppt, .pptx, .png, .jpg, .jpeg
  • Maximum File Size: Not applicable
  • Viewable On: Supported files are displayed within the NIVOMAX Content Tab, while other files can be saved to the local device.

Differences in Display of Supporting Documents

  • Identification: The presence of Supporting Documents for a manual or publication is indicated by an  SD icon in the Table of Contents Toolbar.
  • Color Scheme: Unlike the distinctive yellow background used for Temporary Revisions, Supporting Documents are presented against a white background.
  • Availability: Supporting Documents functionality is available for manuals and publications formatted according to ATA-100, iSpec2200, and S1000D standards.
  • Access: To view Supporting Documents, click the  SD icon in the Table of Contents Toolbar.
  • Labeling: Unlike Temporary Revisions which are numbered, Supporting Documents are identified by titles only, visible on their respective blocks within the List of Supporting Documents.

For the latest documentation on this and other important topics, please refer to the NIVOMAX Help Center. The NIVOMAX Help Center is your primary resource for up-to-date information, guidelines, and self-serve support for NIVOMAX.
