Quick Setup Guide: NIVOMAX Viewer Mobile Edition
Last Updated on March 3, 2025 | 4 min read
Welcome to the NIVOMAX Viewer Mobile Edition! This guide will help you get set up and start using the app, whether you’re an external tester or an end user working with an ePubs supplier.
Authorized External Testers
If you’ve been selected as an external tester for the NIVOMAX Viewer Mobile Edition, you will receive an invitation from us via the App Store to join the testing group. Make sure you meet the following requirements:
- Device: An iPad running iPadOS 17.x.
- Apple ID: Ensure your iPad is configured with an active Apple ID. The email associated with this Apple ID must match the one you provided to us when you requested to join the external testing program.
- TestFlight Availability: Access to TestFlight is restricted to users located in Canada.
Production Users
End users invited by an ePubs supplier with a valid license for NIVOMAX can directly access the app in production. Here’s what you’ll need:
- Device: An iPad running iPadOS 17.x.
- Apple ID: You’ll need an Apple ID to download the app from the App Store, but no invitation from SYNAXIOM is required for production use.
Note
Difference Between External Tester and Production Invitations
- External Tester Invitation: SYNAXIOM sends this via the App Store through TestFlight for beta testing. It is geographically restricted to Canada, and users must share their Apple ID email with SYNAXIOM.
- Production Invitation: Sent by your ePubs supplier through the NIVOMAX platform to grant access to the production environment. Your Apple ID email is not required by SYNAXIOM for production access, you simply login and download the appropriate app through the App Store.
Logging into the NIVOMAX Viewer
Once you have installed the NIVOMAX Viewer Mobile Edition (applies to both beta testing versions and production versions):
- Launch the App: Open the app on your iPad.
- Login Screen: You will be prompted to log in using Single Sign-On (SSO) credentials provided by your ePubs supplier.
- SSO and Apple ID: Your SSO login credentials are managed by the ePubs supplier, and they are separate from your Apple ID. The email address or credentials used for SSO do not have to match your Apple ID.
Invitations from ePubs Suppliers
Your ePubs supplier will invite you through the NIVOMAX platform, which provisions your account in the system and grants access to the necessary data libraries. This invitation also facilitates setting up your account for authentication via SSO within the NIVOMAX platform.
