Accessing a Manual

Last Updated on January 24, 2025 | 2 min read

The NIVOMAX Viewer provides tools to access and interact with ePubs manuals and publications. Manuals and publications are grouped into Libraries, which are organized by data publishers based on their content (e.g., Aircraft Model ABC – Maintenance Manuals).

Understanding the Library List

The Library List is both your starting point and a useful interface for accessing technical documentation. Here’s how you can use it effectively:

Key Features of the Library List

The Library List is the starting point for accessing technical documentation. Libraries display key details, such as publication dates, versions, and statuses. Libraries can be filtered by keywords to locate specific content quickly.

For detailed guidance, visit Common NIVOMAX Viewer Interfaces / The Library List.

Selecting and Loading a Manual

After selecting a Library, the Manuals/ Publications List displays all manuals available in the Library. This list includes metadata for each manual, such as version, publication date, and other relevant details.

Clicking on the title of a Manual / Publication opens it in the Workspace, where it can be accessed and interacted with.

The Workspace is designed for interacting with manuals and publications. It includes:

  • Viewing Area: Displays the selected document.
  • Toolbars: Provide tools for searching, bookmarking, and other interactions.
  • Feature Panels: Offer additional functionalities to enhance the user experience.

For more information, visit NIVOMAX Viewer Workspace Interface.

Accessing Other Manuals in the Library

Multiple manuals within the same Library can be opened without leaving the Workspace.

How to Access Other Manuals

  1. Select the Available Manuals-Publications icon in the Main Toolbar.
The Manuals List appears at the bottom of the Workspace.
Select a manual from the list.
The Viewer opens the selected manual in a new tab, including its Table of Contents (TOC).
Switch between manuals using the corresponding tabs.

Tip

For Mobile Edition Users: If the Table of Contents (TOC) does not load in the Left Slider Feature Panel and the panel appears blank:

  • Click the Toggle Table Of content Toggle TOC Close IconToggle TOC Open Icon icons in the Main Toolbar to reload the TOC.

This action resolves the issue and reloads the TOC.

Accessing Documents Directly

Documents can also be accessed directly using:

These tools are available in the NIVOMAX Viewer Toolbars providing shortcuts to specific documents based on its context, purpose and use.
