Disclaimer

SYNAXIOM does not distribute NIVOMAX Viewer setup files directly to end users. To obtain the necessary setup files, users must download a copy directly from the Technical Publications Supplier's NIVOMAX Self Serve portal, subsequent to agreeing to the terms and conditions stipulated therein. The Technical Publication Supplier, possessing a valid Distribution ID for their copy of the NIVOMAX Applications, is the sole distributor. Access to and use of the NIVOMAX Viewer is contingent upon the purchase of a Data License for a digital product from the Technical Publications Supplier. The digital product downloaded will function exclusively with the viewer provided by the respective Supplier. Users are advised that the distribution of NIVOMAX Viewer setup files may be governed by applicable export control regulations depending on their region.

Licensing

It is not necessary for end-users to purchase a separate NIVOMAX license. The Technical Publications Supplier from whom you have acquired your Data License has already procured the requisite licenses from SYNAXIOM. By extending an invitation, they include you within their authorized user pool, as permitted under their NIVOMAX license agreement. You are authorized to use the NIVOMAX software provided the Technical Publications Supplier maintains a valid NIVOMAX software license.

Internal Linking Within Documents

Authors can enhance document navigation and comprehension by creating links that connect related content. Linking possibilities include:

  • Within the same document.
  • Across documents in the same manual.
  • Across different manuals within the same library.
  • Across libraries (requires a valid data license for the destination library and its installation for Desktop or Network Edition users).
  • Use the ‘Copy URL’ icon on the Tab Toolbar to link to documents; this feature is available only in the NIVOMAX Web Viewer Edition.

Click any internal link to open the referenced section or document in a new content tab.

For linking to a destination document within the library, use the Copy URL icon on the Tab Toolbar to copy the URL. Do not use the URL in the browser’s address bar. Paste the copied URL into a browser’s address bar and press enter. Upon login, if authorized, the destination document will load within the workspace along with its related table of contents.

The Related Links feature helps users find related documents for their current topic. The NIVOMAX Viewer searches for related links automatically and displays them. Users cannot create or change related links.

  1. Related Links Icon:
Users can see the Related Links icon in the Table of Contents Toolbar when related links are available.
  2. How NIVOMAX finds Related Links:
The NIVOMAX Viewer finds related documents by following these rules:

    • For ATA-100 data, the Viewer uses the Chapter-Section-Subject codes.
    • For S1000D data, the Viewer uses the System, Subsystem, and Subsubsystem, Unit/Assembly Code, Disassembly Code, and Disassembly Variant codes.Based on the distribution of NIVOMAX you are using, the Viewer may not use all the codes mentioned to ensure the match is broad.
  3. Quick Access:
The Viewer shows the related links to users. Users can select the links to open the documents.

Benefits of Related Links

  • Faster Navigation:
Users can open related documents without searching.
  • Clear Cross-Referencing:
Users can find all related information easily.
