Disclaimer

SYNAXIOM does not distribute NIVOMAX Viewer setup files directly to end users. To obtain the necessary setup files, users must download a copy directly from the Technical Publications Supplier's NIVOMAX Self Serve portal, subsequent to agreeing to the terms and conditions stipulated therein. The Technical Publication Supplier, possessing a valid Distribution ID for their copy of the NIVOMAX Applications, is the sole distributor. Access to and use of the NIVOMAX Viewer is contingent upon the purchase of a Data License for a digital product from the Technical Publications Supplier. The digital product downloaded will function exclusively with the viewer provided by the respective Supplier. Users are advised that the distribution of NIVOMAX Viewer setup files may be governed by applicable export control regulations depending on their region.

Licensing

It is not necessary for end-users to purchase a separate NIVOMAX license. The Technical Publications Supplier from whom you have acquired your Data License has already procured the requisite licenses from SYNAXIOM. By extending an invitation, they include you within their authorized user pool, as permitted under their NIVOMAX license agreement. You are authorized to use the NIVOMAX software provided the Technical Publications Supplier maintains a valid NIVOMAX software license.

Library Management

This section gives essential background on managing digital technical publications and licenses within NIVOMAX. Access these articles for more information:

Libraries managed by the system on:

NIVOMAX Web Viewer: Users can access only those libraries for which they have an active license, assigned in the NIVOMAX Self-Serve Portal.

Adding and Updating Libraries

  1. Library Import Interface: For manual import of library archives into the NIVOMAX Viewer. This is useful for systems without internet access. Users must manually download and update libraries as updates become available.

When using the NIVOMAX Viewer on offline computers (e.g., in air-gapped setups), actively monitor library update notifications received via email to stay informed about new updates and necessary changes to your libraries.

  2. Data Downloads: This feature allows the direct download of complete library archives, updates, Temporary Revisions, and Supporting Documents within the software. Users can select and start downloads as needed.

Removing (Deleting) Libraries

  • Library List: Provides a visual overview of library status and allows the removal of locally installed libraries. Options include releasing the license (for use on another device while keeping the data locally for later reactivation) or completely removing the data and releasing the license.

Best Practices

  • Use online features whenever possible to ensure your data libraries are up-to-date.
  • For single users needing access at multiple locations, the Network Edition offers convenient data and license management.
  • When setting up the viewer for teams, ensure appropriate licenses are available. It is advisable to have one Data License Administrator per Data Server instance to prevent complexities in library updates and license management.

Troubleshooting

I cannot see the Data Library available for download in the Download Manager or the Self-Serve Portal > Download Center:

  1. The required Data License is not assigned to the user in the Self-Serve Portal.
  2. The license assigned to the user is currently active on another device.

Contact your Data License Administrator for assistance.
