Disclaimer

SYNAXIOM does not distribute NIVOMAX Viewer setup files directly to end users. To obtain the necessary setup files, users must download a copy directly from the Technical Publications Supplier's NIVOMAX Self Serve portal, subsequent to agreeing to the terms and conditions stipulated therein. The Technical Publication Supplier, possessing a valid Distribution ID for their copy of the NIVOMAX Applications, is the sole distributor. Access to and use of the NIVOMAX Viewer is contingent upon the purchase of a Data License for a digital product from the Technical Publications Supplier. The digital product downloaded will function exclusively with the viewer provided by the respective Supplier. Users are advised that the distribution of NIVOMAX Viewer setup files may be governed by applicable export control regulations depending on their region.

Licensing

It is not necessary for end-users to purchase a separate NIVOMAX license. The Technical Publications Supplier from whom you have acquired your Data License has already procured the requisite licenses from SYNAXIOM. By extending an invitation, they include you within their authorized user pool, as permitted under their NIVOMAX license agreement. You are authorized to use the NIVOMAX software provided the Technical Publications Supplier maintains a valid NIVOMAX software license.

The NIVOMAX Builder offers tools for downloading data from the builder for various purposes. Downloading options are available for:

  1. Central Data Repositories (CDR)
  2. External Data Repositories (EDR)
  3. Library Downloads

Data downloads in the NIVOMAX Builder allow publisher users to download data from the platform in an unencrypted format. This is useful for troubleshooting activities or when repurposing the data in another system not integrated with NIVOMAX.

Central Data Repositories (CDR)

CDRs are created and maintained by publishers through incremental updates. Publishers may want to download a copy of the current working CDR for inspection or troubleshooting.

How to Use

  1. Select the Downloads icon from the top toolbar.
  2. Select the CDR tab.
  3. Select an existing CDR from the CDR Name drop-down list. You can also type the CDR name, and the system will autocomplete and show results for quick reference.
  4. Select the specific download needed from the Available Downloads drop-down list. Options include:
    • Libraries XML: Immediate download, used to set up the Library structure.
    • Publications XML: Immediate download, used to set up the Manual or Publication structure and table of contents. This is generated either by the INDEX XML included in the CDR data import archive for ATA100 or the PM data module in S1000D.
    • Complete CDR (in work): Delayed download with email notification.
  5. Click the DOWNLOAD button to begin downloading the selected option. The publisher user will receive an email notification with a download link once the ZIP archive is ready for download. Click the link within the notification email and follow the login process to initiate the download. The archive will be available for download by any authorized user in the NIVOMAX Builder for 24 hours before being removed.
  6. Click CANCEL to cancel in-progress downloads.

External Data Repositories (EDR)

The EDR importer allows publisher users to download imported external data repositories. This is useful for troubleshooting activities or when repurposing the data in another system not integrated with NIVOMAX.

How to Use

  1. Select the Downloads icon from the top toolbar.
  2. Select the EDR tab.
  3. Select an existing EDR from the EDR Name drop-down list. You can also type the EDR name, and the system will autocomplete and show results for quick reference.

The archive will be available for download by any authorized user in the NIVOMAX Builder for 24 hours before being removed.
  6. Click CANCEL to cancel in-progress downloads.

Library Downloads

If the publisher user wishes to download an unencrypted version of a Library, it can be done using this option. This is useful for troubleshooting activities or when repurposing the data in another system not integrated with NIVOMAX. These downloads cannot be imported into the NIVOMAX Viewer applications. Users must download the appropriate libraries from the NIVOMAX Self-Serve Portal for that purpose.

How to Use

  1. Select the Downloads icon from the top toolbar.
  2. Select the Library tab.
  3. Select an existing Library from the Library Name drop-down list. You can also type the Library name, and the system will autocomplete and show results for quick reference.

The archive will be available for download by any authorized user in the NIVOMAX Builder for 24 hours before being removed.
  5. Click CANCEL to cancel in-progress downloads.
