Data Module Status

Disclaimer

SYNAXIOM does not distribute NIVOMAX Viewer setup files directly to end users. To obtain the necessary setup files, users must download a copy directly from the Technical Publications Supplier's NIVOMAX Self Serve portal, subsequent to agreeing to the terms and conditions stipulated therein. The Technical Publication Supplier, possessing a valid Distribution ID for their copy of the NIVOMAX Applications, is the sole distributor. Access to and use of the NIVOMAX Viewer is contingent upon the purchase of a Data License for a digital product from the Technical Publications Supplier. The digital product downloaded will function exclusively with the viewer provided by the respective Supplier. Users are advised that the distribution of NIVOMAX Viewer setup files may be governed by applicable export control regulations depending on their region.

Licensing

It is not necessary for end-users to purchase a separate NIVOMAX license. The Technical Publications Supplier from whom you have acquired your Data License has already procured the requisite licenses from SYNAXIOM. By extending an invitation, they include you within their authorized user pool, as permitted under their NIVOMAX license agreement. You are authorized to use the NIVOMAX software provided the Technical Publications Supplier maintains a valid NIVOMAX software license.

The Data Module Status feature in the NIVOMAX Viewer provides critical insights into the lifecycle and details of S1000D data modules. This feature is instrumental for users needing to verify the current status and metadata associated with specific data modules within technical publications.

How to Access Data Module Status

Data Module Status is accessible from the Tab Toolbar (S1000D) when viewing content from an S1000D Library. To view the status of a data module:

  1. Click the Data Module Status icon in the Tab Toolbar (S1000D).
  2. This action loads the Data Module Status information into the Right Slider Feature Panel.
  • DMC: Data Module Code
  • Language: Language designation for the Data Module
  • Issue No: Data Module issue number
  • Issue Date: Data Module issue date
  • Title: Data Module title, typically formatted as [TechName] – [InfoName]

Detailed Data Module Status Information

Each entry in the Data Module Status display provides specific information about the data module:

  • Security Classification: Indicates the security level of the data module and associated illustrations.
  • Responsible Partner Company: Identifies the company or organization responsible for the data module.
  • Originator: Specifies the identifier of the company or organization that originated the data module.
  • Applicability: Lists effectivity information relevant to specific Product Sequence Numbers (PSN).
  • Quality Assurance Status: Details the status of the quality assurance processes as required by the project.
  • Reason for Updating: Explains the rationale behind updates to the data module.
  • Authority Info: Lists the authority owning the source data from which the data module is derived.
  • Authority Notes: Provides additional information necessary to clarify previous entries.
  • Additional Modification: Indicates whether the data module covers additional modifications.
