Preview SVG Conversion in Central Data Repository
The NIVOMAX Builder has tools to preview SVG files generated by converting CGM intelligent graphics. This feature is useful for publishers and graphic illustrators to verify the accuracy of converted files before publishing them into libraries.
How to Use the Tool
- Select the
Intelligent Graphics icon from the top toolbar.
- Select the Preview tab.
- Select an existing CDR from the CDR Name drop-down list. You can also type the CDR name, and the system will autocomplete and show results for quick reference to load the Intelligent Graphics Preview window.
- The list of graphics in the CDR is displayed on the left of the Graphics Preview window with an input field at the top of the list labeled Graphic Name Filter.
- Scroll the list or type the ICN into the filter and click the file name to load the graphic into the Graphic Viewer window on the right.
SVG Spot Converter
The Intelligent Graphic CGM to SVG Spot Converter is a tool for graphic illustrators or publishers to instantly convert a CGM file and see the result. The main difference between the Spot Converter and the Graphic Preview tool is that the Spot Converter does not require the user to update the CDR. Individual files can be uploaded from the computer’s file system to see the result. This tool is useful for checking in-work illustrations.
How to Use the Tool
- Select the
Intelligent Graphics icon from the top toolbar.
- Select the Spot Convert tab.
- Use the file upload area labeled File Drop Zone to upload a CGM.
- Drag and Drop: Drag the CGM file here to start converting.
- Click to Browse: Click here to open your device’s file system. Choose the CGM file you want to convert.
- Click:
- CONVERT: To begin the process.
- CANCEL: To cancel converting.
- RESET: To reset the process.
- DOWNLOAD: To download the SVG file. This option is enabled once the conversion is completed.
Once completed, the converted SVG will automatically load on the page.
