Unlocking Horizons: NIVOMAX 2025 Platform Release and Upgrade
Last Updated on May 17, 2025 | 5 min read
Prepare now for the NIVOMAX 2025 platform release and upgrade.
Coming this August, this release introduces the next evolution of NIVOMAX Viewer Apps. Stay connected to your critical technical publications—online or offline, automatically and transparently to the user.
The NIVOMAX 2025 release introduces a major evolution in platform experience through its new Out-of-Band (OOB) user validation approach. This release is designed to drastically improve the user experience by reducing the number of manual steps required to access NIVOMAX libraries and making key functionality immediately available across all applications—all with a one-time setup and use.
Importantly, this enhanced experience does not compromise on control or security. Each distribution continues to enforce the same entitlement models, authentication policies, and deployment boundaries that organizations require. The result is a platform that feels more seamless to use, while remaining tightly governed under enterprise-grade safeguards.
One-time setup. No repeated logins.
Key Highlights
Here are the major features introduced in the NIVOMAX 2025 release:
- Out-of-Band (OOB) User Validation
The new OOB model simplifies how users access their NIVOMAX apps and data libraries. Once configured, users can begin working immediately without repeated login prompts, while still operating within strict entitlement controls. Optional OTP and forced login policies remain available per distribution. - Improved Internal Navigation and Link Handling
Viewer navigation has been refined to support more granular internal linking, with better user control over how links are opened and viewed within the data. - Resilient Settings Management for Offline Access
If authentication fails or the on-premise hosted NIVOMAX servers are unreachable, users can now reconfigure the network settings in their locally installed NIVOMAX Viewer without first logging in—allowing continued access to data in restricted environments. - Context-Aware Library Import Status
Users importing ZIP packages from the SSP now receive more transparent, real-time feedback on import progress and completion within the NIVOMAX Viewer. - Granular IPDP Data Handling in Parts Tables
Improvements to how structured S1000D content is parsed and displayed in IPDP Data Modules enable better support for part-level metadata and references, including CAGE Code information. - Improved Handling of Versioned Links in S1000D Workflows
NIVOMAX now resolves links to Data Modules in a version-agnostic way. Even when filenames change due to revisions, third-party systems can still reliably point to the latest available version. - Smarter Offline Behavior Across Viewer Editions
The Viewer now detects online/offline status automatically and switches modes in the background, without disrupting the user experience.
