Disclaimer

SYNAXIOM does not distribute NIVOMAX Viewer setup files directly to end users. To obtain the necessary setup files, users must download a copy directly from the Technical Publications Supplier's NIVOMAX Self Serve portal, subsequent to agreeing to the terms and conditions stipulated therein. The Technical Publication Supplier, possessing a valid Distribution ID for their copy of the NIVOMAX Applications, is the sole distributor. Access to and use of the NIVOMAX Viewer is contingent upon the purchase of a Data License for a digital product from the Technical Publications Supplier. The digital product downloaded will function exclusively with the viewer provided by the respective Supplier. Users are advised that the distribution of NIVOMAX Viewer setup files may be governed by applicable export control regulations depending on their region.

Licensing

It is not necessary for end-users to purchase a separate NIVOMAX license. The Technical Publications Supplier from whom you have acquired your Data License has already procured the requisite licenses from SYNAXIOM. By extending an invitation, they include you within their authorized user pool, as permitted under their NIVOMAX license agreement. You are authorized to use the NIVOMAX software provided the Technical Publications Supplier maintains a valid NIVOMAX software license.

Brand Intellectual Property Policy

Guidelines on how your brand can be incorporated within our platform

Welcome to the NIVOMAX co-branding Guidelines and the Brand Intellectual Property Policy. This document is designed to help you integrate your brand identity within the NIVOMAX platform, enhancing user experience while maintaining the integrity and recognition of both brands.

NIVOMAX is not a white-label product; these guidelines are in place to ensure the harmonious inclusion of your brand, celebrating the collaboration between professional entities.

Logo Placement and Size

Customer Branding

Your logo can be incorporated into selected areas within the NIVOMAX platform. However, the NIVOMAX logo must also be present to clearly identify the platform and maintain brand distinction.

Size Ratio

Wherever your logo appears, the NIVOMAX logo must be visible and maintain a minimum size of 60% of your logo, excluding the top left logo position where your logo may appear alone.  This ensures clarity in the partnership and provides easy platform identity.

URL For Web-Apps

For on-premise NIVOMAX installations, customers can use any URL without the inclusion of NIVOMAX branding. For instance, “my-epubs.company.com” is allowed.

Application Branding

Allocated Areas

The NIVOMAX brand and logo may appear in various application-related areas where your brand logo does not. This distinction is crucial to differentiate between the application interfaces (NIVOMAX Viewer, Builder, Self-Serve Portal and Sales Center) and ePublications (ePubs) content.

Branding Consistency

While we encourage branding the NIVOMAX platform with your logo for a personalized experience, it is essential to keep the application and the ePubs content distinct. This distinction ensures users can easily differentiate NIVOMAX functionalities, your proprietary content and ePubs services.

Help Content & Supporting Documents

Support and Approval

When in doubt always ask. Our team is available to support you with any question regarding the co-branding process.

Document Use and Modification

Customers are only authorized to use selected NIVOMAX documents supplied by SYNAXIOM on their platforms, without making any form of modification. The integrity of these documents must be maintained, meaning:

  • No Partial Use: Documents supplied by SYNAXIOM may not be disassembled or used in part to create new documents with separate branding.
  • Preservation of Content: The original content, formatting, and branding of documents must remain intact when being utilized on customer platforms.

Software Branding and Naming

While we encourage and celebrate the service you offer using NIVOMAX, it’s crucial to respect the following rules regarding software branding:

  • Original Branding: The software must not be rebranded or referred to by any name other than NIVOMAX. This ensures clear communication and maintains the integrity of our brand.
  • Your ePubs Service Branding: Customers are welcome to name and brand the ePubs service they offer as they wish. However, it must be clearly distinguished that this brand refers to the service offered using NIVOMAX, and not the NIVOMAX platform itself.

Communicating About NIVOMAX to Your Customers

When sharing the capabilities and functionalities of NIVOMAX with your customers, clarity and brand integrity are paramount. To assist in maintaining consistency and protecting our brand, we require that the following guidelines be respected at all times when referring to the NIVOMAX system in your communications:

Referencing NIVOMAX

  • Direct Naming: Always refer to the system as “NIVOMAX” when discussing the platform with your customers. This ensures brand consistency and recognition.
  • Service Differentiation: When branding your ePubs service, you may create a unique name for the service aspect. However, it’s crucial to make it clear that the service is powered by NIVOMAX. For instance, “Powered by NIVOMAX, our XYZ ePubs Service provides seamless access to technical publications.”

Prohibited Practices

  • No Renaming: Avoid renaming or implying that NIVOMAX is a product developed by anyone other than SYNAXIOM. This preserves the software’s identity and your integrity as a provider.
  • Brand confusion: Ensure there is a clear distinction between the services you offer using NIVOMAX and the NIVOMAX platform itself. Misrepresentation can lead to confusion and dilutes brand value.

Example Phrasing for Customer Communication

  • Correct: “Leverage our XYZ ePubs Service, powered by the comprehensive NIVOMAX platform, for your technical documentation needs.”
  • Incorrect: “Our XYZ platform, built for managing your ePubs, offers everything you need.” (This example fails to mention NIVOMAX, implying the platform is a proprietary development.)

Also, feel free to describe the features, benefits, and capabilities of NIVOMAX in detail. For example, “NIVOMAX, an advanced technical publications management system, offers unparalleled efficiency and user-friendly navigation for managing technical documentation.”

Maintaining these guidelines ensures that your communications about NIVOMAX are clear, consistent, and respectful of the SYNAXIOM brand. It also helps in setting proper expectations with your customers about the technology they are engaging with and recognizing the support and innovation behind it.
